Cosmetic Acupuncture is a natural, holistic treatment designed to rejuvenate the skin from the inside out. This gentle modality stimulates collagen production, improves circulation, and supports the body’s natural repair processes. The intended results are a smoother texture, improved tone, reduced fine lines, and a healthy, radiant glow.

Unlike injectables (botox or fillers) cosmetic acupuncture addresses the root causes of skin concerns including stress, hormonal shifts, and inflammation to help you look refreshed while also supporting overall wellness. Treatments are relaxing, customized to your skin goals, and treatment protocols often combine other therapies for enhanced results.

How It Works Comparison:

COSMETIC ACUPUNCTURE

  • Uses ultra-fine needles to stimulate collagen and elastin

  • Improves blood flow and oxygenation

  • Enhances muscle tone and facial balance

  • Encourages your body to regenerate and repair naturally

  • Addresses systemic factors that influence aging

  • Can improve stress resilience and overall wellness

  • Promotes healthy skin from the inside out

BOTOX

  • Temporarily relaxes targeted facial muscles

  • Softens dynamic wrinkles (forehead lines, crow’s feet, frown lines)

  • Works by blocking nerve signals to the muscle

DERMA FILLERS

  • Physically add volume beneath the skin

  • Fill folds, plump lips, and restore cheek volume

  • Create structural changes immediately

Results Comparison:

COSMETIC ACUPUNCTURE

  • Gradual, progressive improvement that build over time & support long-term skin health

  • Softening of fine lines

  • Brighter, more even complexion

  • Subtle lifting and improved muscle tone

  • Maintains natural facial movement and expression

  • Supports long-term skin health

  • Cosmetic acupuncture enhances what’s already there rather than altering facial structure or limiting movement

BOTOX

  • Faster onset (3–7 days)

  • Noticeable reduction in muscle-based wrinkles

  • Can create a smoother, more “frozen” look depending on dose

  • Effects last about 3–4 months

DERMA FILLERS

  • Faster, more dramatic changes

  • Immediate plumping

  • Can dramatically reshape areas (lips, jawline, cheeks)

  • Results last 6–18 months depending on product and area

  • May look overfilled if not done conservatively

Long Term Considerations:

COSMETIC ACUPUNCTURE

  • Promotes long-term collagen production

  • Supports lymphatic drainage (reducing puffiness)

  • Improves circulation and glow

  • Addresses whole-body factors that influence aging

  • No synthetic substances

BOTOX

  • Requires ongoing maintenance

  • Does not improve skin quality or collagen production

  • Focuses on isolated muscle groups

After stopping:

  • Muscle activity returns

  • Strength gradually rebuilds

  • Wrinkles return to what your natural movement and skin quality allow

  • You continue aging normally

With Long Term Use There Is A Possibility of:

  • Treated muscles may remain slightly thinner

  • Compensatory muscles may become stronger

  • Facial dynamics can subtly change

DERMA FILLERS

  • Do not improve overall skin quality

  • Primarily address volume loss

  • Require repeat treatments to maintain results

  • Filler Migration to unwanted areas

  • Persistent Swelling & Water Retention

  • Lumps, Nodules, or Scar Tissue are possibl

  • For hyaluronic acid fillers, an enzyme is required for dissolving

  • Non-HA Fillers may require surgery to remove

Consultation

With every new patient, we take the time to get to know your ailments & goals. Together we will create a treatment plan that works for you. Even if you're currently a patient, this approach will require an Existing Patient New Condition Consult 90min

Treatment

After your new patient consult, you will receive your initial treatment to address your primary concerns.

Follow-Up

Based off your treatment plan, you will return for scheduled follow-up visits where we monitor progress & make changes as needed.

Cosmetic Acupuncture works cumulatively, it is a gradual, progressive improvement that builds over time to support long-term skin health. To get the most benefits, new patients to cosmetic acupuncture are required to commit to a 12 treatment protocol with typical treatments being once a week. We know that life happens on both sides, and when this occurs we just skip that week and tack that session to the end. However, if treatments become too far apart results will vary and may require more sessions to achieve the desired results.

Tune-ups at 6 months and 1 year are available. A monthly membership is also available where you get to pick from several facial services each month. See below for what the typical protocols will look like.
